These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of The Group Portal, including its website, applications, membership features, content, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must provide accurate, current information and be legally capable of entering into this agreement. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your credentials, all activity under your account, maintaining accurate contact and payment information, managing billing settings, and tracking every active subscription associated with your credentials. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
2. Memberships, payment authorization, and automatic renewal
Paid memberships are billed at the price and frequency disclosed before checkout. By submitting payment information, you authorize The Group Portal and its payment processor, Stripe, to store a payment credential or token and charge the applicable initial and recurring fees, taxes, and authorized adjustments to your selected payment method until you formally cancel.
Your subscription automatically renews each monthly or annual billing period at the rate disclosed at checkout, unless you cancel before the next renewal date. We may change pricing upon advance notice as required by law. You remain responsible for charges incurred before cancellation becomes effective.
3. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel through Account & Billing settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellations should be completed at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Access ordinarily continues through the current paid billing cycle. Subscription fees purchase access, not active use; non-usage, inactivity, or failure to log in does not create a right to a refund or retroactive billing adjustment. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service; violate law or another person’s rights; harass others; distribute malicious code; scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service; impersonate another person; send spam; or use the Service for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity. Community content must comply with applicable platform rules.
5. Content and intellectual property
The Service and its software, branding, design, and original content are owned by The Group Portal or its licensors and are protected by law. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, process, display, and distribute it only as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Service.
6. Third-party services
The Service may rely on or link to third parties, including Stripe, analytics providers, hosting providers, and integrated business tools. Their services and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.
7. Suspension, termination, and disputed charges
We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, fraudulent or abusive chargebacks, suspected fraud, security threats, violations of these Terms, or conduct that harms the Service or its users. Before disputing a charge, contact support so we can investigate. Nothing here limits lawful chargeback or consumer rights.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, particular business outcomes, or the accuracy of member-provided content.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Group Portal and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damages arising from account management, billing settings, credentials, or platform access. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the fees you paid to us during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms and will provide notice when legally required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance.
